Annihilation of caste - Undelivered Speech by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar 
The speech of B.R. Ambedkar was to be a part of conference at the Jat Paat Todak Mandal, but ultimately the speech was never delivered and the conference was called off. This speech of Ambedkar is known as the Annihilation of caste. The speech basically revolved around the idea of the caste system and how it was still prevailing at that time which functions as a bullet which which can’t be dodged by anyone and everyone has to take it in the name of Hinduism. The speech has a flood light effect on showing the atrocities which the Dalit community had to face from the upper caste such as the Brahmins who made all the rules for the entirety of the caste system. 
This speech though undelivered had a huge impact on the masses as it was evident from the fact that the Mandal cancelled Ambedkar’s invitation just by looking at the speech because they thought it could cause a nation wide awakening of the Dalits. My take on the speech would be the fact that Ambedkar was being completely honest and explained how the caste system is male dominant and weapon of mass destruction. What is really fascinating about this is the fact that Ambedkar could identify these problems so early in time even before these symptoms were as evident to the people who were not affected by it. The Annihilation of Caste works as a guiding torch even today to light the path of equality even for those who supposedly are supposed to make the rules for the entire caste system

Contested Citizenship, Caste, and the Politics of Chandrashekhar Azad ‘Ravan’             The CAA-NRC agitations have perhaps reached a tipping point in mainland India. Yet, the contention and agitation has been brewing in Assam for a while now. Until the threat of a nation-wide NRC, it wasn’t even a peripheral topic of discussion. ‘We people’ were largely unfazed by it. However, a brief reading of the recommended articles and a short explanatory video with Ms. Bina Pallical reaffirms my continuous contention with the NRC. Even the ‘Liberals’ comprising mainly of upper-caste educated persons have bought the narrative of it being an exclusively Hindu-Muslim problem. Week 10 - Samyuktha Rao

I'm sharing something interesting that I've come across during my search for dalit music. In the state of telangana, India's largest tribal festival is conducted on an annual basis in the month of February. The festival witnesses largest gathering of dalit communities as the goddess who is worshipped during the festival belongs to the Koya tribe. However, Hinduization of this festival has begun to take place in the last few decades. I'm attaching articles from the wire and feminism in india which talks in detail about how upper castes are controlling the image of the goddess as theirs and their other  other practices of Hinduization that are taking place during the festival.
